If translation is enabled, Haibao can display original and translated subtitles together. AI subtitles are automatically generated and may contain recognition errors or delays; important use cases should be verified independently. ## IPTV and Live Streams User TV is free. Add an authorized individual HTTP/HTTPS live URL, such as HLS .m3u8. Haibao supplies no browser, channel catalog, recommendations, public lists, or channel-playlist import. You are responsible for the source; captions depend on network, models, and device performance. ## Permissions - Local video and User TV captions use media audio; no third-party cloud AI key is required. - Microphone or screen-capture requests depend on the platform and actual feature you activate; follow the system prompt. - File access permission is used to play local media files actively selected by the user. - Network access is used for the website, help documents, live streams, update checks, model or resource downloads, and minimized analytics. - Local playback helper components are used only for app-internal playback workflows and are not provided as public network services. ## FAQ - Does Haibao upload my videos or audio? No. Core AI processing is primarily local, and we do not upload local media, audio, subtitles, transcripts, or translations to cloud AI services. - Why does the app need network access? It is used for the official website, help center, privacy policy, user-provided live streams, update checks, model or resource downloads, and minimized product analytics. - Does Haibao provide IPTV channels? No. Haibao is a general-purpose player and subtitle tool. It does not include, host, or sell TV channels or third-party copyrighted content. - Why are live subtitles delayed? Live subtitles require audio extraction, speech recognition, translation, and local playback processing.
