The first planned release is for iPhone and iPad, requiring iOS / iPadOS 18.6 or later. The Mac app is in development with no confirmed release date.

One input for words and sentences
Words show IPA, common senses and bilingual examples; sentences show a Chinese translation and a short explanation. Queries run after a typing pause. AI results are reference material, not an authoritative dictionary.
On-device English speech
The complete Kokoro model ships with the app. Each request synthesizes fresh audio and plays it from memory without uploading speech text or saving generated audio. Initial model loading takes time; voices are synthetic.
Personal collections
Sign in with Apple to save words and sentences and restore them across devices. Name and avatar are optional, and account deletion is available in Settings. Cloud queries and collection sync require a connection.
Understand what leaves your device
Cloud lookup and translation require explicit permission to send input to Microsoft Azure OpenAI. After permission, queries run automatically after a typing pause; permission can be withdrawn in Settings. Our server does not retain sentence inputs or translations, while generic dictionary entries are cached. Provider processing remains subject to its data and safety terms. Declining does not prevent bundled practice or local speech. There is no microphone recording, pronunciation scoring, advertising or subscription.
