Service Description
Haibao is a local AI video player for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, with local media playback, on-device speech recognition, bilingual captions, and individual user-provided live URLs. Import, subtitle, and model tools differ by platform and installed version.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the app on macOS devices that you own or control. Unless permitted by law or with our written consent, you may not copy, modify, rent, sell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or bypass the app's security and access control mechanisms.
User Content and Third-Party Sources
You are responsible for local files, playlists, live-stream URLs, subtitles, and translation results that you open, import, add, generate, or save through Haibao. You must ensure that you have lawful rights or necessary authorization and must not use the app to access, distribute, download, save, transcribe, or translate unlawful, infringing, or unauthorized content.
IPTV and Live Streams
User TV accepts individual authorized HTTP/HTTPS live URLs, including HLS .m3u8, as a general-purpose player. No channel catalog, playlist import, recommendations, or public lists are supplied, and Haibao does not distribute third-party live content.
App Permissions and System Capabilities
- To support user-provided live sources, the app may need to access HTTP or HTTPS playlists, live streams, and media segments.
- To support playback, transcription, subtitle generation, translation, or format adaptation, the app may run necessary local helper components for app-internal functions and local playback workflows.
- Microphone, screen recording, or system audio capture permissions are used only when you actively use live interpretation, system-audio transcription, or similar features.
- You may disable related permissions in macOS System Settings at any time. The corresponding features may not work after permissions are disabled.
AI Subtitles and Translation
Speech recognition, subtitle generation, and translation results are automatically generated by algorithms and may contain recognition errors, inaccurate translations, delay, omissions, or contextual misunderstandings. AI subtitles and translations are for assistance only and do not constitute official translation, legal advice, medical advice, professional advice, or factual guarantees.
