1. Does BikeX require an account? Sign in with Apple is required for the main app. In 1.5.4, feedback and replies are available only in Settings after sign-in, without requiring analytics consent.
2. What synchronizes? Ride summaries, goals, and your nickname/avatar synchronize with the account. Explicitly saved routes synchronize privately as GPX geometry and metadata. Full raw GPS, videos, audio, weight, and calories are not automatically backed up with ordinary ride summaries; group replay samples and opted-in GPS endpoint analytics have the separate scopes described in the privacy policy.
3. What does joining a group share? Event-linked rides upload up to about 120 real GPS coordinates and relative times for recorded replay, not live tracking. Public-event names and replay are visible to other signed-in users; password-event replay is members-only. Joining includes this sharing without a second privacy toggle.
4. Does deleting a private route delete its public copy? No. Publication is off by default and requires an explicit action and preview. Deleting a private copy does not delete the public snapshot. After account deletion, a published route may remain as an unattributed community route. A qualifying synced ride on a public route may also display your nickname, member number, and avatar among recent riders.
5. Is analytics required? No. PostHog initializes only after separate consent and can be disabled in Settings. Account and feedback functionality do not require analytics consent.
6. Does feedback attach ride data? It does not automatically attach account identity, rides, routes, media, health data, or logs. Only an active submission sends support text, optional email, installation metadata, and necessary verification/conversation access materials.
7. Why is the overlay added after recording? BikeX records clean footage first and composites on device. Original videos are not automatically backed up with account summaries.
